Love the  pattern on this dress and lace detail, It was one of those dresses you see and you're not sure of but I loved the color and that it was a shift, I tend to gravitate towards shift dresses and that made for an easy decision, now it stands as one of my favorites considering I've had it over 4 years now. Comfort + Style

It's always a plus when you're able to combine both style and comfort in one when it comes to outfits. I'm all about "fashion is pain" and going the extra mile of "I'm so uncomfortable", but boy do I look good kinda mentality but if I can find an item that combines both qualities like these floral pants  then it's  a winner. I can practically do anything in these pants, that includes jogging too, and that's how crazy comfortable they are. Be inspired!

Coachella Inspired

I've read  in the news about  the Coachella music festival for a couple of years now but never really took time to understand what it was all about, All I remember from the past years is the outrageous outfits and the what were you thinking kinda fashions that I saw. This year was no different, It almost seems as a requirement that you dress out of the box and in a fashion that should only be left to exactly that a "music festival" So I decided to join in the fun and inspired by the spirit of Coachella and of course channeling on of my favorite style icons Solange Knowles I did this post as to how I would  have dressed if I had gone, my outfit is actually  too tame for all the other fashions I have seen but it is stepping out of the box for me, not quite sure if Coachella is my cup of tea ( unless of course Third Day, Lecrae, Mary Mary, William Mcdowell, Chris Tomlin and Rascall Flatts are there to name a few) but I basically would have gone to take pictures of all the fashions, good and bad...By the way I took this look out on the road and I did get quite a few nods, glares, is she serious, she must be in a band looks as well as a lot of smiles of acknowledgement # boldness required.com, I think I do love this look though and will occasionally wear my hair in this giant afro since I'm going natural...Who inspired your look today and who influences your everyday style?...Live life, Love Life, Be inspired...It's a lifestyle!

That little jacket

If you follow me on Instagram then you know last night was the nail biting episode of The Blacklist on NBC...whew!! Something about spies, secrets, the government conspiracy theories and chasing gets me pumped up...If you haven't watched it before catch it on line...the suspense!!!..#MrandMrs Keen...Animal print has the ability to instantly transform a boring outfit. My outfit  pairing in this post looks blah by any standards but by adding this little animal print jacket I feel adds more glam to an otherwise everyday look. Like I've always mentioned, I do not discriminate...I bought this in the Jr. section and this little jacket has worked well over tanks, dresses, tees and crop tops as in this case to cover all the hanging extra flesh, I love the trend but I try not to be offensive by showing my gut way too much, ha!!,...Be inspired!

Red, White and Black

I love a good full skirt and my love for them is eternal, whether you are dressing it down or up you'll always have a look and a great fit and I think they flatter every body type. I especially like the Tribal/African print and the ability the prints have to turn an everyday outfit into awesomeness, for lack of a better word...Live life, Love life, Be inspired...It's a lifestyle!

Checkmate

As much as I'm so over winter I do like the ability to wear a turtleneck in the cooler temperatures because its simple yet classy, all covered up with a little edge. This skirt I purchased from Nordstrom Rack, took it to the dressing room twice and didn't quite feel it until I brought it home  and paired it up with some pieces from my closet...now the options are endless...And the price didn't hurt either...under $25...can't beat that! Nautical Stripes

Nautical stripes though identified with the preppy look is one of my favorites  for their ability to transform a simple outfit to amazing status by adding a piece to your look.
